In Vasilis small-scale sculptures, the monumental is distilled into the intimate. Each piece carries the architectural gravity and philosophical clarity of his large-scale outdoor sculptures, translated into a human scale that invites proximity, contemplation, and touch.

Carved in marble, granite, or ironstone, these works embody a tension between precision and erosion, presence and void. Their volumes — often reduced to essential forms such as gates, sanctuaries, or fragments of dwellings — reflect a quiet commitment to balance and measure. Through the interplay of solid and hollow, Vasili constructs spaces of stillness, where light becomes both structure and symbol.

These sculptures evoke a world of thresholds and silences: intimate architectures of perception where the viewer encounters not representation, but essence. In their restraint, the works function as stations of thought, holding within their measured geometry the memory of an ongoing dialogue between stone, space, and time. Whether standing in solitude or assembled as a constellation, they articulate a language of sacred minimalism — where the visible opens toward the unseen.

A BODY OF WORK EXPLORING INTERIOR SPACE, THRESHOLD, AND THE CONDITIONS OF PASSAGE.
